DIY met Riaan Season 7 - Saturdays 08:30 on SABC 2!

Riaan Garforth-Venter, better known as Die Nutsman will return to SABC 2 for his 7th successful television series of 'DIY met Riaan', which premiers on Saturday, 14 April 2012 at 8:30 on SABC 2 and will be on air for 26 DIY-packed weeks.

Whether you need to figure out what to do with an empty boring wall or are looking for a fun project to tackle over a weekend, or just need some advice, then DIY met Riaan is the place to be.  In this Season of DIY met Riaan, Riaan Garforth-Venter will show you how to maximise small spaces, he shows viewers how to turn the wasted space underneath a staircase into a useful storage space and study.  

And he also introduces his new DIY side-kick, Freedom Hadebe, who exchanged his acting and dance shoes for power tools.  Riaan and Freedom teams up to bring viewers a double dose of DIY on a Saturday morning.

We kick off the season with a face-off between Riaan and Freedom to see who creates the best project and the viewers get to vote for their favourite one.  This season is for the whole family with fun-filled Red Tool Box Kits for the kids, creative decorative projects for mom and a “cool tools” section for dad. 

Riaan also introduces a new “How To” section, which will teach viewers all about cement: from choosing the correct cement for specific projects, mixing, plastering and brick laying.  In our first episode Riaan visits a factory in Kimberley to show us how cement is made. 

Be sure not to miss out on the cement projects throughout the season.  These projects include a bush boma, a complete kitchen revamp using only wood and cement, unique garden stepping stones and many more.

Max Thongani is back with his 'Medal Minute' in each episode - showing viewers the wide range of Medal Paints products and how to apply them with ease.

Some of the series highlights will include a metal security gate, kids playground equipment, a space saving shoe rack, how to restore old furniture, a fish pond, swimming pool, wooden deck and a chandelier.
